ENERGY AND ARCHITECTURE
This module provides an overview of construction technology principles and practices, specifically for long-span and tall buildings. It emphasizes construction systems such as basement, building façade, envelope systems, and steel construction. Additionally, the module explores contemporary construction technologies like modular construction (MC) and Industrialised Building System (IBS).

Low Energy Building Analysis
In a group of 5 we had to select a precedent study of Low Energy or Net Zero building of our choice from an existing building locally or internationally and conduct a low energy building analysis.
Project 1B
Energy-Efficient Green Building Site Visit
This project involved a site visit to KLIA 2 a recognized energy-efficient green building, to study its sustainable design and building services. Our team took on roles as director, videographer, and narrator, ensuring an engaging and informative vlog. Through this creative documentation, we gained valuable insights into real-world green building strategies while enhancing our storytelling and technical analysis skills.
Project 2
Energy Audit E-Report
For Assignment 2, I had to conduct a walkthrough energy audit of my home to identify potential energy savings. This process involved analyzing HVAC, lighting, building maintenance, and other factors affecting energy consumption. Through visual presentation and assessment, I evaluated efficiency improvements and sustainable practices to optimize energy use.
Reflection
I faced a lot of challenges while doing the assigned tasks, and this part was the toughest for me. I looked forward to the tutorials because they let me ask questions, get answers, and learn from my instructors and classmates who shared their experiences. Dealing with the limitations and finding the right balance between being creative and following the rules in this subject was hard, causing many stressful days and nights. Still, I was happy to have the chance to go through it all. I appreciate the information, expertise, and new skills I gained from this module, which will surely help me in my architecture career.
